SMS Alert Terms & Consent
How NetWatchAI SMS notifications work, how you opt in, and how to stop them.
What Messages We Send
NetWatchAI sends SMS text messages to subscribed customers for real-time security monitoring alerts. Message types include:
- Critical security alerts — unauthorized access attempts, intrusion detection events
- Device status alerts — devices going offline, connectivity issues
- Security summary reports — weekly/daily digests of network activity (if enabled)
Message frequency varies based on your alert configuration and network activity. Typical customers receive 2-10 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply.
Who Can Receive Messages
SMS alerts are only available to authenticated, paying NetWatchAI subscribers. There is no way to receive SMS messages without an active NetWatchAI account and subscription. SMS notifications are disabled by default — users must explicitly opt in.
How Users Opt In
Users opt in to SMS alerts through their NetWatchAI account dashboard. The process requires three explicit actions:
Step 1: Navigate to Notification Settings
From the NetWatchAI dashboard, users open Security Settings and select the Notifications tab. This page is only accessible to logged-in users with an active subscription.
Step 2: Enter Phone Number & Enable SMS
Users must enter their mobile phone number and toggle the "SMS Notifications" checkbox to on. Both fields are required — a phone number alone does not enable SMS, and the toggle cannot be enabled without a phone number.

Step 3: Save Preferences
Users must click "Save Preferences" to confirm their opt-in. No messages are sent until preferences are saved. Users can also click "Test SMS" to verify their phone number receives messages before saving.
Consent Disclosure
The following disclosure is displayed on the opt-in page when SMS notifications are enabled:
"By enabling SMS alerts, you agree to receive automated security alert messages from NetWatchAI. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help."

How to Opt Out
Users can stop receiving SMS messages at any time through two methods:
- Reply STOP to any NetWatchAI text message
- Disable SMS in account notification settings at app.nwsoc.ai
After opting out, users receive the following confirmation:
"You have successfully been unsubscribed. You will not receive any more messages from this number. Reply START to resubscribe."

Reply HELP to any NetWatchAI text message to receive assistance information. You can also contact us at support@nwsoc.ai.
No Third-Party Sharing
Your phone number and opt-in consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers are used solely for delivering NetWatchAI service notifications. Messages are transmitted through Twilio and are subject to Twilio's Privacy Policy.
